The goal of the project “Enhancing the civic participation of media students in Jordan through the production of digital stories,” which is implemented over a period of 6 months (4/2023 to 9/2023) and funded by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jordan is to increase the capabilities of 80 journalism students from 4 Jordanian universities to use digital storytelling to enhance youth civic engagement.
The project activities include training university students to produce at least 50 digital storytelling productions (1-2 minutes each). This digital content will reflect the importance of youth civic engagement, youth participation in political parties, freedom of expression and access to information, and the effects of climate change on the most vulnerable groups, the obstacles facing persons with disabilities, the forms and methods of combating discrimination, and the importance of eliminating gender-based violence in local communities.
